Bloom

New York, NY

"Designed for reuse and adaptability, the installation proves that minimal resources can create maximum impact."

Sustainability guides the exhibition not only through material efficiency, but through a philosophy of thoughtful restraint—seeking depth of experience rather than excess. The immersive installation is organized around the repurposed frame of a traditional greenhouse, its skeletal form serving as both structure and metaphor. Light is woven directly into this framework through seamlessly integrated fixtures, while reflective surfaces amplify their presence, achieving resonance with a minimal use of resources. Visitors are encouraged to move through and around the piece, discovering shifting perspectives from both within and beyond the structure. Lightweight, recyclable paper is carefully shaped into a layered terrain suspended within the luminous mesh. As visitors circulate, individual points of light emerge like seeds embedded in the landscape. The installation reflects a secondary narrative rooted in nature, renewal, and resilience. Drawing from the sensibilities of urban gardening, the team transformed reclaimed materials—hand-cut and rolled paper forms held in tension—to evoke petals in various stages of growth. Custom lighting sequences animate this environment, suggesting cycles of germination, bloom, and rest, ultimately reconnecting the visitor to the rhythms of life and the quiet intelligence of the natural world.
